Fuel cell converts chemical energy from hydrogen and oxygen into electrical energy. The basic components are proton exchange membrane, catalyst layers,
anode and cathode. The end product is electricity and the by product is water. Fuel cell offers clean energy in that the by-product is water. It can also operate from -40C
to 50C. In summary, fuel cells can be used as alterative to valve regulated lead acid batteries or diesel generators for long back-up autonomy is required.
